Umahi Sacks 17 Permanent Secretaries

Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, on Saturday, sacked 17 permanent secretaries in the state.

The sack permanent secretaries were sacked two days before the inauguration of the next administration of Hon. Francis Nwifuru.

Umahi announced the sack of the permanent Secretaries during a valedictory session of the State executive council.

That took place at the new government house, Centenary City, Abakaliki capital of Ebonyi State.

Umahi however, retained fifteen permanent secretaries to work with the incoming administration led by Francis Nwifuru.

Also retained are the Head of Service, HOS, Rita-Mary Okoro, SSA on religious and welfare matters, Rev. Fr. Abraham Nwali, commissioner for works and transport, Ogbonna Abara and the commissioner for Aviation and Technology, Obianuju Alo, to work with the incoming governor, Francis Nwifuru.

Umahi also appointed special assistant on the Airport project, Frank Ngwu, commissioner for trade and Investment, and Chioma Nweze as consultants for the state government for a period of three months.
