Ummu's Murder: Sibling Narrates How Chinese Murdered Sister

Younger sister to murdered Ummulkulsum Sani on Tuesday narrated to the court how she saw her sister's ex-chinese lover, Geng Quarong cut the deceased to death 

She said she was peeping through the window as the defendant stabbed her sister severally to death.

Asiya Sani told the State High Court Miller Road that she witnessed the murder.

In today's sitting, the prosecution Counsel’s led by Kano Attorney General, Barrister MA Lawan, presented two witnesses and said the case would be heard on 16, 17 and 18 September 2022.

Testifying under a cross examination, Asiya said on September 16, 2022, at about 9pm, Quarong came to their house knocking heavily at their door and her Mother Fatima Zubairu went to enquire about it.

After the Mother opened the door, she saw Quanrong who pushed her away and rushed to the house, where he met late Ummulkulsum, who warned him that she was calling Police for him.

“As my sister entered a room making calls, the Chinese man followed, her locked the sitting room and the inner room, and at that time we went to inner room window peeping and I saw Mr Quarong holding a knife and on top of my sister who was on a bed stabbing her with it”.

Asiya Sani added that at the time she left the window and started shouting together with her other siblings while their mother was already outside the house calling for help.

“Realizing the situation, Frank came out of the room through the sitting room window and left my sister's body laying lifelessly.

"And at that time, the neighbours rushed in and arrested him, where they handed over him to the police, and myself and two others took my sister to the hospital but looking at her she was not moving."
