In an attempt to support the effort to stop the use of single-use plastics, the United Nations issued a memo to the heads of UN agencies and workers, informing them of the ban of the use of single-use plastics at all UN offices in Nigeria, explaining that it is a part of “our commitment to contribute to global efforts at reducing dependence on single-use plastic materials in our environment but particularly in the workplace.”
This ban will support the various Sustainable Development Goals.
According to the UN Resident Coordinator, Mr Edward Kallon, he said, “Please refer to our meeting on January 30, 2020, where we deliberated and agreed to a series of decisions and action points. One key outcome
