Discussing what a post-COVID-19 economy will look like in the West African region, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), Amina J. Mohammed, accompanied by other top officials of the UN will be visiting Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, and Niger.
Mohammed will be visiting President Muhammadu Buhari and his vice Yemi Osinbajo.
Her visit coincides with the launching of the “Nigeria UN Plus Offer For Socio-Economic Recovery – 2020 -2022”, by Osinbajo; an initiative that offers support to Nigerians with a view to stimulating the country's economy post-COVID.

Other delegates are the Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Mohamed Ibn Chambas; Special Adviser of the Secretary-General on Africa, Cristina Duarte; Assistant Administrator, Director, Regional Bureau for Africa, United Nations Development Programme, Ahunna Eziakonwa, and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General to the African Union, Hannah Tetteh.
