UN: Turkey Emphasises Dialogue For Peace In Ukraine

Turkey, on Thursday, called to keep communications channels open at a special U.N. Human Rights Council session for Ukraine.

In a statement made by Turkey’s permanent representative to the U.N. in Geneva, Turkey reiterated its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The statement read; “We believe that channels of dialogue must remain open for finding a peaceful solution and fixing the humanitarian situation."

The statement added that Turkey will continue to work to ensure peace in Ukraine.

It said; “We are concerned about the long-term impacts of the conflict on Ukraine and the world."

Turkey is one of the most active countries working to ensure a permanent cease-fire between Ukraine and Russia.

It is among the countries fulfilling the role of a mediator between Ukraine and Russia on humanitarian issues.
