Uncertainty Over Benue APC Governorship Primaries Election Fails To Hold

Uncertainty is trailing the conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship primary election in Benue State. 

The election which was scheduled to hold on Thursday nationwide suffered a huge setback as officials and materials were not available. 

Several of the ward centres  in Walamayo, Baa, Fiidi as well as North bank within Makurdi metropolis had no sign of any form of election being conducted. 

No member of the party could tell what happened as sources are speculating that the exercise may commence on Friday following the delay in distribution of materials. 

Other sources fear that there was initiatally no plan to conduct any exercise but to just announce a candidate at the end. 

On Monday May 23, the Benue State chapter of the APC opted for a direct mode for its primary election which should have taken place in the 276 council wards of the state, with the final collation scheduled in Makurdi, the state capital.
