Peter Obi, the Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the just-concluded Presidential election, has empowered Gimba Sophia Emmanuel, an unemployed graduate in Nasarawa State with an oven to pursue her dream of baking and confectionery business.
The flag bearer in a Facebook post, on Saturday, said the graduate had expressed her intention to purchase a Nigerian-made over, which is in line with the philosophy of production-to-consumption of the Labour party.
Emmanuel had added that getting a locally-made oven would contribute to the development of value chain.
Obi was, in a picture, seen handing a check over to Emmanuel for the purchase of the oven,
"Today, I fulfilled my pledge to assist Ms Gimba Sophia Emmanuel in her aspiration to acquire an oven and start her baking and confectionery business.
"Interestingly, she had indicated that she would procure a Nigerian-made oven, thus enhancing the value chain and putting into effect the production-to-consumption mantra," Obi wrote.
