Bisi Olawuyi, a lecturer at the University of Ibadan (UNIBADAN) has denied giving out $100 each to students who attended his first class after the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike.
In a Twitter post on Tuesday, the lecturer debunked the news, urging the public to disregard the information.
A Twitter user, @peter_pentane had tweeted “One lecturer for art in University of Ibadan give 10 students who attended his first class 100 dollars each."

The post which went viral got a lot of reactions including how the lecturer made some much money even as the ASUU strike was recently called off.
Reacting to the allegation, Olawuyi in a tweet wrote: “My attention has been drawn to a tweet circulating that I gave $100 each to 10 students. This is not in any way true. Please kindly disregard."

The eight-month strike by ASUU was recently called off.
