UNIBEN Announces Post UTME Dates Amid ASUU Strike

UNIBEN Announces Post UTME Dates Amid ASUU Strike

Amid the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced the dates for its Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry screenings for the 2022/2023 academic session.

The announcement was made in a notice by the institution's Registrar, Ademola Bobola on Wednesday in Benin.

According to him, the exercise will take place in selected centres on the Ugbowo main campus of the university between November 14 and 25, 2022.

Bobola maintained that the Computer-Based Test (CBT) would be conducted for candidates who chose UNIBEN as their first choice and applied through JAMB and Direct Entry with above 200 marks in UTME.

“Only candidates, who applied through JAMB for the 2022/2023 UTME and direct entry admission and chose the University of Benin as first choice and scored 200 and above for UTME candidates, are eligible for this screening exercise,” Bobola explained.

The registrar, however, directed the applicants to the institution’s official website for further details on the examination.
