Universal Insurance MD Bags Leadership Award

The Managing Director of  Universal Insurance Plc, Dr Benedict Ujoatuonu, has won the 2022 Insurance Personality Leadership Excellence prize.

The award was presented by the African Prize for Leadership Excellence Award organised by Africa Leadership Media Limited, a Pan Africa Leadership Magazine.

According to a statement from the insurance company's secretary, the aim of the award is to recognise the positive contributions of individuals and corporate organisations in Africa.

“Africa in the last decade has experienced significant economic growth that has not only put it in the spotlight but has also made it attractive to foreign investors.

“The African new growth factor was attributed to the leadership excellence of some selected African individuals and corporate organisations that have demonstrated uncommon initiatives in the African economy and field of endeavour.

”Ujoatonu was awarded in recognition of his insurance expertise, and practical leadership excellence in management skills,” the statement said.

In his response, Ujoatonu expressed excitement about being chosen for the esteemed prize and thanked the organisers for honouring him.
