Universal Insurance Plc Wins Company With Highest Earnings Award

Universal Insurance Plc has been recognised as the company with the Highest Earnings Yield for 2022 among the companies that are listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange by the organisers of the PEARl Awards at a ceremony recently in Lagos.

According to a statement, the board of governors of the PEARL Awards Nigeria congratulated Universal Insurance Plc for emerging winner of the prestigious 2022 Listed Company with the Highest Earnings yield.

Ben Ujoatuonu, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, who spoke on the award, expressed the appreciation of the board, management, and staff of the company for the recognition while noting that the recognition is a call for more work.

In the statement, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, also commended the effort of the organisers, lauding the credibility and essence of the PEARL Awards over the years.

“It is an award that has remained credible and steadfast in promoting the capital market. I want to specially commend the organisers, and everyone present here.

“We need the funding and the stability of the capital market even as public administrators to be able to deal with and have long-term funding.”
