Three friends Aondoayange Apever, Kachina Shiaondo and a Don in the Department of Mass Communication, Federal University of Wukari, Fred Akaakar, have been killed at Jootar, Mbatere in Mbayenge Council Ward, of Ukum Local Government Area, Benue State.
Eyewitness report states that gunmen stormed the border town, shot and killed three as others escaped narrowly.

A motorcycle carrying a lady and two guys had approached and one of them had pointed, shooting at their targets and zoomed off.
The source narrated that the motorcycle operated for 10 minutes, killed the victims and left immediately.
When asked what could have trailed speculations behind their gruesome murder, our anonymous source said, "It's difficult to know at the moment but we couldn't sleep throughout the night."
