Unizik Names United Nigeria Airlines Chairman As Visiting Professor

The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), also known as NAU, has designated the Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, as the Visiting Professor of entrepreneurship at the institution.

Okonkwo in a statement issued on Monday in Lagos made it disclosed that his appointment was conveyed in a letter dated July 21, 2022, with reference number NAU/A/R/P/G.02 signed by the university’s registrar, Philomena Okoye.

According to him, his roles would include “teaching, students supervision and research” while taking up other “academic-related services as the department/faculty/university shall assign”.

The airline boss holds a Master of Science Degree in Economics from the Russian Peoples Friendship University, Moscow, and a First Class degree in Economics from the Russian Peoples Friendship University, Moscow.

Okonkwo is also a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science with a degree from the Russian Academy of Science, Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Moscow.

The businessman who is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (FNIPR) and the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria (FCE) will execute his duties on a pro bono (unpaid) basis, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

Okonkwo was in April 2022 appointed as a Professor of Business Studies by the University of Abuja Business School (UABS).
