Representative of the Anambra South district, in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Ifeanyi Ubah has been reinstated as senator, after sacking him from his position as senator.
Justice Bello Kawu reversed his judgment that was passed in December sacking Ubah as a member of the National Assembly. although the judge's judgment states that Ubah's challenger in the elections held in February of 2019, Obinna Uzoh of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would be acknowledged as the winner of the election.

Regarding the judgment passed, the National Chairman of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Bishop Amakiri, said that the court's decision would be appealed, stating that the judge's pronouncements were not in accordance with the law, that court processes were not properly followed.
