Announcing Akeredolu as the winner of the election Idowu Olayinka, Rufus Akeju, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for INEC in Ondo State announced Akeredolu as the winner of the election after explaining that the number of votes margin between Akeredolu and his closest opponent was way more than the cancelled votes. 2. Ondo Election Result: Akeredolu's Rival Loses Local Govt

As Ondo Election Result trickles in, the flagbearer of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and deputy governor of the Sunshine State, Agboola Ajayi, has lost his local government in Saturday's gubernatorial poll.

3. Ondo Decides 2020: Police Officer Rejects N50,000 Bribe From Political Party

In a statement by the Police Service Commission (PSC) on Sunday, it was disclosed that a police officer stationed at a polling unit in Ondo State, rejected the sum of N50,000 offered him to allow thumb printing for voters that did not show up at the polling station.

4. Ondo Election Result: INEC Cancels Votes In APC Stalwart’s Hometown (Here's Why)

As Ondo Election Result trickles in, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said a total of 1,413 votes were cancelled across three polling units in Okitipupa Local Government Area in Saturday's governorship poll.

Agboola Ajayi, the candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and the deputy governor of Ondo state triumphed in his polling unit in Kiribo in the Ese Odo Local Government Area of the state.

AllNews reports that according to the result pasted at the unit by the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), titled ‘Publication of Result of Poll’, Agboola won the Apoi Ward II, Unit 004, Idumado Quarters, Kiribo with a wide margin, having garnered 395 votes. The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has denied bringing thugs to the South-West for Saturday’s Ondo Election.
