There was pandemonium in Bamenda, North West Cameroon on Friday afternoon a policeman shot and killed a 7-year-old girl.
The killing led to a protest, residents of the town venting their anger over the incident. Vehicles were set on fire and roads were blocked during the protest.
The killer policeman had opened fire on a driver who had refused to stop his car when his bullet hit the girl, dentified as Brandy Tataw on the other side of the road, Africanews reported.
According to the report, Cameroonian authorities have arrested the officer.
It was said that a similar incident occurred in southwestern Cameroon on October 12, this year, where an officer opened fire on a bus carrying school kids. The incident had resulted in the death of a six year-old primary school pupil.
