A bet has been placed on Democratic candidate Joe Biden to win the US election by a UK resident.
The bet was placed on October 29 by an unnamed bettor, as reported by CNN.
It was reported that the bet, a sum of £1 million was placed on Betfair Exchange.
If the bettor wins the bet, they would go on to win a profit of £540,000 along with the original amount wagered.
This is among some of the most expensive bets on popular personalities, with the highest being the bet in Rafael Nadal - worth £1.1 million - to win the French Open in 2010.

The betting platform estimates that there could be more than £400 million wagers on its platform, double the 2016 figure.
In 2016, which was the largest political bet ever made on the platform, a £555,000 bet was made on Trump.
