US Military Equipment Arrives Ukraine Amidst Tension By Russ

The United States has stepped up deliveries of weapons to Ukraine with a new batch arriving in Kiev after the Secretary of State, Antony Blinken confirmed another $200 million in aid to Ukraine.

The latest shipment, including defensive equipment and ammunition is a part of the $200 million in security assistance to Ukraine from the United States.

Speaking on Tuesday, Kristina Kvien of the U.S. Charge d'Affaires in Ukraine said; "The aid will support Ukraine's sovereign right to self-defence."

"However, our preference is diplomacy."

The U.S. moves are being done with actions after the tensions Russia has mounted on Ukraine, standing over ten thousand soldiers on its border with Ukraine given an invasion.

According to the TRT World, a senior U.S. official also warned Russia against using energy exports as a weapon.

"We are prepared to implement sanctions with massive consequences that go far beyond previous measures implemented in 2014 after Russia invaded Ukraine's Crimea region," he said.

Also, British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson added threats saying; "Sanctions on Russia would be heavier than anything we have ever done before."
