US Offers $10m Reward For Information On Foreign Interferenc

A $10 million reward has been offered by the United States to anyone who provides information on foreign meddling in US elections.

The offer was announced by the United States Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, on Wednesday.

The aim of the US Government is to flush out foreign agents who plan on interfering in the US' elections both local, state and Federal through cyberattacks.

Trailing US President Donald Trump's 2016 win was the allegation that Russia meddled in the elections to help Trump attain the presidency.

An investigation was launched into the allegations by former Special Counsel, Robert Mueller, who said that Russia meddled in the US elections in 2016 in Trump's favour.

The allegation has been dismissed as an attack from the opposing Democratic Party.

In the report, Mueller said that 10 instances were outlined describing Trump's alleged attempt at obstructing investigations into the claims.

Democratic hopeful, Joe Biden, said in July, that he had received a security briefing revealing plans of Russian agents to interfere in the elections again.

Biden pledged to retaliate against any interference in the United State's democracy again.
