VC Seeks Regulation Of Varsity Education To Improve Sector

The Vice-Chancellor of Anchor University, Lagos, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele has proposed the regulation of university education as a way to move education forward in the country.

Speaking at a media briefing for the university's joint second and third convocation ceremonies slated for Friday, December 9, 2022, the VC urged the Federal Government to do the needful.

He urged the government to give education supervisory bodies a chance to prove their ability.

Bandele stated that Anchor University pictures the delivery of teaching-learning processes comparable to those of the 21st century.

He noted that the institution would, in line with its goal, be keen on showing love to students in a bid to win troubled youths over.

The VC urged the students to leverage the new approach, warning against all forms of social vices.

He further advised the students to live productively in their career pursuits, be wise, and be accountable, maintaining that there is no shortcut to success.

He implored other universities to work towards encouraging their students to involve themselves in good labour.

Bandele expressed hope that the institution would grow and become renowned as it maintains its uniqueness.

“Our niche, therefore, is to pursue everything that we want to do through the glory lane of our core values, character, competence and courage,” he said.
