Nigerian singer Vee, who rose to stardom following her participation in the 2020 Big Brother Naija reality show, has confessed to having difficulties getting her music out there.

According to Vee, many people have suggested that it is difficult for a BBNaija star to transition into a successful music career, acknowledging that this is true.

Despite this, she has no regrets about joining the reality show, explaining that she has other talents and passions.

“A lot of people say when you enter the house as an artiste, coming out, it’s gonna be really, really difficult to push your music as an artiste. That is true.

“Do I regret going on though? No, because I feel like I have other talents."

Of all her talents, Vee says music is the one she takes the most personal and it comes with the most fear.

She admits to recording music all the time but struggles with the fear of putting her music out there to the world.

“When it comes to my music, that’s the one I take the most personal so it comes with the most fear.

“Everything else, the content creator, the acting in movies and hosting; simple because it’s something I’ve learnt how to do.

“It’s not my passion, it’s not my bread and tea and it’s not the thing that motivates me everyday.”

Citing her experience as a content creator, actress and host, Vee revealed that music is a whole different ball game and that she has been working on conquering her fear of releasing her music to the world.

“So am I working on conquering that fear? Yes. I record all the time. It’s just to put the music out there.

“I hope I get over it, I’m trying to. Music is a whole different ball game.

“It’s that precious that I want to keep it to myself. I’m learning that eventually, I’m gonna have to let go or it’s just going to swallow me whole,” Vee noted.
