Nollywood actress, Lala Akindoju-Fregene, has refuted claims that the Nollywood lost veteran actor Olu Jacobs.
AllNews reports that a photo of the actor taken during an unknown ailment has been circulating on social media with the news that he is dead.
Reacting to the claims, Akindoju on Twitter said she had spoken with Jacobs and that he was hale and hearty.
“Uncle Olu Jacobs is alive and well. Very much so.
“I just got off the phone with him. Please stop spreading fake news,” she wrote.
In the same vein, actress and wife of the actor, Joke Silva debunked the claim in an interview with newsmen.
