VIDEO: 'Bridgerton' Actress Reveals Mental Health Struggle Following Hospitalisation

Ruby Barker, the actress known for playing Marina Thompson in the hit Netflix series Bridgerton, has revealed her mental health struggle after she was recently hospitalised.

Speaking in a video she uploaded on her official Instagram account, the mulatto star stated that it was time to be transparent and added that she has been struggling since appearing on the TV show.

Barker expressed gratitude to fans and loved ones for taking care of her and to Netflix for "saving" her.

"I have been really unwell for a really long time. I want to be honest with everyone. I have been struggling. I am in hospital at the minute and I am going to be discharged soon and hopefully get to continue with my life.

"I am going to take a little bit of a break for myself and I would encourage others, if you are struggling, do yourself a favor and take a break, stop being so hard on yourself", the actress said.
