[VIDEO] Burial Of Obi Cubana's Mother: Money Flowed Like Wat

From over 240 cows presented to him by friends to the N30 million foreign casket used for the burial, no doubt, Obi Cubana mother's burial will be talked about for a long time. 

Nigerian businessman, Obi Iyiegbu a.k.a. Obi Cubana lost his 78-year-old mother, Madam Ezinne Uche Iyiegbu, last December.

To honour her, the 46-year-old socialite threw a lavish party that had several celebrities, business people and politicians in attendance.

Over 240 cows were donated to him with forty-six of it from his associate and celebrity barman Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu a.k.a. Cubana chief priest.

Several videos went viral on social media and several of the guests were seen throwing wads of cash around in a bid to outdo each other.

The funeral rites started on Thursday, July 15, 2021, with a service of songs and Christian wake, followed by the burial and reception the next day at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Oba Anambra.

Nigerian singers, Davido, D'banj, Orezi and Kcee were also there to honour the businessman.

Nigerian popular socialite and Forbes-rated entrepreneur, Sir Uyi Ogbebor, real estate mogul, Dr. Kennedy Okonkwo and E-Money also turned up for the ceremony.

Nigerian lawmaker, Akin Alabi, who was among the people who sprayed money, said he did not spray more than N9,000.

It was said, although not verified, that Obi Cubana's committee of friends raised well over N200 million to support him for the funeral.

Nigerian singer, Davido, also transformed the ceremony into a concert on Friday night with the performance of his hit song 'Fem'.
