VIDEO: 'Chaos' At Abuja Airport As Dana Air Delays Flight For Hours
A massive protest rocked the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Wednesday after Dana Air delayed flight for hours.
Passengers lamented that they were not informed about the delay until they began to register their grievances.
According to Daily Post, Dana Air manager, Dahiru claimed, quite shockingly, that the airline was not aware that its aircrafts were not in good shape, hence the late announcement.
As seen in a video footage, tension is at maximum as many passengers have requested a refund.
Some of the passengers were said to have lost their items as a result of the protest.
They called on the Nigerian government to immediately act on the incessant and unpredictable issues with Dana Air.
Meanwhile, further investigation by AllNews Nigeria reveals that Dana Airways is notorious for delaying flights and disappointing its passengers.
Sometime in December 2022, the airline abandoned passengers at Abuja Airport for 14hours.
According to Atsenokhai Aloy, no apology was tendered, rather passengers were left to their fate. No concern was shown after some of the passengers paid about N100,000 for the flight.
On Friday, July 12, 2019, the airline failed to convey its passengers from the Abuja airport to Port-Harcourt, with the stranded passengers alleging there was no flight.
On May 26, 2016, pilots working with Dana Air embarked on strike, forcing the airline’s passengers scheduled for flight that day to be stranded across the country.
Similarly, an aircraft belonging to the airline skidded off the runway and was partly damaged while landing at the Port Harcourt Airport in Rivers state on February 20, 2018. After 24 hours, passengers on the aircraft complained they had not gotten their luggage.
Also, on February 8, 2018, the airline blamed its passengers for one of its doors that fell off while taxiing at the Abuja airport. The flight was from Lagos.
