Nigeria’s Adegoke Onaopemipo and Busayo Olatunji are both 20 years old, but the pair are already the best squash-playing professionals in the country.
While Olatunji is ranked No. 183 in the world, ‘Onas’ as Onaopemipo is fondly called is rated No. 252 in the men’s category.
Both champions have many things in common: Aside from being age-mates, the two started out at the junior cadre where they ruled the class.
Now, senior players and international athletes, they have won several laurels locally, most prominent is the National Sports Festival (NSF) gold medal.
As per the latest NSF Rankings (January 2020), they are perched atop the list of Professional Squash Players Association of Nigeria (PSPAN).
