VIDEO: Embattled Sunday Igboho Has Been Deserted, Family Claims

The family of embattled Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho claims friends have deserted him.

Igboho appears to have gone underground since July 1 when operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) raided his residence in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State, where two persons were killed and 12 others were arrested.

Speaking in a video obtained by AllNews Nigeria, a lady simply identified as Arewa disclosed that supposed Yoruba agitators have abandoned Sunday Igboho after stirring up controversies with some Yoruba kings and the government.

She said, "Please, you Yoruba agitators, were you sent to Sunday Igboho? Is there something behind it? Were you sent to this man? With everything that has happened that everyone is looking for a way forward, you all are still coming out cursing.

"One came out and was like 'All the Yoruba Kings will bury their child. Were you sent to this man?

She further stated rather than make efforts to bail those arrested by DSS "you all are just shouting and the one you caused is not yet fixed. You kept causing kings and chiefs all in the name of this man. You gave Sunday Igboho enemies that he never had.

On the fight for the Yoruba Nation just like Nnamdi Kanu is agitating for a Biafra Nation, she revealed that Igboho never planned instigated wars with his name neither did he tell anyone to represent him, noting that, unlike the Igbo agitation, the Yoruba agitator has no war equipment.

"The DSS has added that offense to his case even though we know they lying. But how will we do it? Is it not the government? Can the government be fought that way? Can Igboho fight the government alone?

"You use Igboho's name to instigate fights and wars and we do not have equipment for war. You all be mimicking the Igbos".

"Koiki would say that Sunday Igboho is working, they are collaborating with IPOB, with Nnamdi Kanu, with Biafra. Look at it now? Where are you all? she said.

Yoruba Nation Protest In Lagos

In spite of attack on Igboho's residence, recall some agitators for the Yoruba Nation held a rally to press home their demands on July 3rd in Lagos and are still planning to hold another protest.

Reacting to the protest that was held on July 3rd, she claimed Igboho gave an order the rally be cancelled but Koiki, others refused.

Arewa said, "you talking about the Lagos rally but aren't talking about how to get those people arrested out of DSS's custody. Especially that woman that only had on wrapper. You all keep causing more problems for him".

She called on all Igboho followers, and supposed agitators to hold back any form of protest and not ompare themselves to Igbos who have been agitating for years.

Arewa said, "All of you should lay low for now. The one you caused is not yet resolved. Laying low does not mean we have lost. When did we start agitating? You are comparing yourself with the Igbos that have been agitating for years".
