Nollywood veteran Hilda Dokubo has advised Nigerians to take the money that will be offered to them by politicians in the 2023 elections, adding that it was stolen from them.
Speaking on the many issues bedevilling the nation, including the fuel hike and the prolonged ASUU strike, Dokubo said that it was all planned by the federal government to "weaponise poverty".
Giving voice to her thoughts in a video posted on social media on Wednesday, the actress opined that the Buhari administration has been on a gangster move and that it worsened in 2022.
"Have you been wondering why this administration has been on a gangster move and it has gotten really worse this year?
"I'll tell you what, it is called the weaponisation of poverty. These people know that it is tough to do rational reasoning when you're hungry and extremely poor. So, that is their new tool.
"ASUU is on strike, students are at home, there is no fuel, there is no light daily. No matter how much you have in the bank, it depreciates.
"So, everything is going crazy. You know what they intend to do? Come February and March of next year during the election, they will bring back all that they have stolen from you and they will give you a very tiny bit of it.
"It is their weapon to steal your vote. Let me tell you what to do; take it. It is your money stolen from you...", Dokubo stated.
