A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dino Melaye, has accused the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, of rigging the 2023 elections.
Melaye who lost his cool earlier on Monday at the collation centre in Abuja stormed out after his outburst failed to yield the desired effect.
Speaking with pressmen afterwards, he stated that Yakubu is determined to rig the elections.
According to Melaye, the INEC Chairman is bent on ensuring that election results are not uploaded and by making it appear as if observers are at the collation centre to rubberstamp what he called the fraud that has been cooked between the commission and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
"... We are saying that we are not here to rubberstamp the electoral fraud that has been prepared by INEC and APC.
"We are Nigerians and we all know that there is nowhere on the server that results have been uploaded.
"He's now saying we should wait for the process to be completed", Melaye added.
