According to the 'Billionaire' crooner, it was only right for her to collaborate with Davido on her first album.

Teni said that the relationship she has with Davido is special and personal, although she is cool with other superstars in the Nigerian music industry such as Burna Boy and Wizkid.

She recounted the story of how Davido positively motivated her with his words when they met at a studio session in Atlanta.

She said, "Davido is special because I've known David since Atlanta. I remember when I met him in a studio session and he said to me in his exact words, he said go back to Nigeria and you will be a huge star. He motivated me with those words and it was just right for me to do something with him for my first album.

"He was already a star, he was already huge at the time o. Imagine Davido meeting me in a studio and telling me 'do your thing you can actually do this thing, you can actually be a huge star'. And I never forgot it.

Recall that Teni had chased down Davido in a street and begged him for a ‘by fire by force’ music collaboration.

Davido shared the video clip of the chase in which Teni can be seen running to his car after chasing him through traffic at night. He comes down and the two have brief conservation.

Via Twitter, Davido wrote: "Crazy night when lil sis @tenientertainer saw me in traffic chased me down to get to the studio ... we finally made a classic that same week I think! A lot of people don't know we grew up in Atlanta .. I'm so proud you made that decision."
