Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi paid a visit to popular Nigerian singer Femi Kuti days after the latter disclosed why his family will not support his presidential ambition.
Kuti shared a video recently on social media stating that he could not be obedient given the current situation of the country.
"I cannot be obedient in this country of today. Nothing can make me to be obedient. I’m too angry, too sad, too depressed to be", he said.
A clip shared on Twitter on Wednesday captures the moment the singer was visited by Obi who obviously wanted to make sure that there was no bad blood between them.
Both men shared smiles as the LP presidential flag bearer said that the kind of society that was talked about is not the type he intends to build.
"That is not the society we want to build. It needs campaign resolutions that will affect Nigeria, and that is what I encourage everybody to do", Obi said.
Obi and Kuti shook hands and the former entered a waiting vehicle and was bid farewell by the artiste.
