The Nigeria Police has confirmed the threat made by bandits ordering the shutdown of churches for a period of three months.
In a video uploaded online, it was revealed that the threat letter was dropped at the headquarters of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and was taken to the police.
The police disclosed that the letter was opened by them and they invited CAN to inform them about the threat, adding that whether the threat is real or not, being security conscious should be the goal.
CAN was given copies of the letter so that they would make adjustments to their programmes in their various churches as the threat is one that cannot be ignored.
