The late Olanrewaju Fasasi, known in the entertainment circuit as Sound Sultan, was honoured by media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu in a recent episode of Rubbin' Minds.
Ebuka joins the increasing list of prominent Nigerians paying tributes to the deceased star who passed away after a battle with throat cancer.
In the video clip, the media personality reveals one of his earliest memories of seeing Sound Sultan perform; it was when Ebuka was in the University and chose to skip a test to see the artiste do his thing on stage.

"One of my earliest memories of seeing Sound Sultan perform was in 2003/2004 when I actually ended up missing a test in school because I wanted to watch him perform at the French Cultural Centre", said Ebuka.
"Then his smash hit Mathematics was ruling the airwaves. We ended up becoming very good friends, neighbours to an extent here in Lagos.
"We attended family events with each other, we worked out at the same gym for about two, three years. So, he's a very dear friend of mine and it's very very disheartening to hear what has happened to him.

"It's pretty heartbreaking and once again our condolences to his family, his friends, his loved ones who are definitely going through a hard time at this moment.
"I dare you to go out and find anything negative about Sound Sultan. You know, people say nice things when people pass away but this time, everything being said about him is beyond the truth.
"An absolutely amazing human being, nice guy, warm soul. And we just wish his soul continues to rest in peace. He's been a guest here on Rubbin' Minds multiple times and he sat right here with me, talked about all sorts of issues.
"And we just wanna use this moment to pay a quick tribute to Lanre Fasasi a.k.a. Sound Sultan."
