VIDEOS: Kunle Afolayan Announces 'Anikulapo' Series

Celebrated filmmaker Kunle Afolayan is poised to revisit the tale of Saro and Arolake as he has announced the continuation of the Netflix movie Anikulapo.

Taking to his official Instagram account on Wednesday, Afolayan shared videos of the cast and crew, teasing the upcoming series. 

Upon its release on the aforementioned streaming platform, Anikulapo divided critics, with some hailing the production value while others faulted its length and exposition.

Afolayan who previously disclosed that Netflix advised him to make the movie a series added that it was his idea all along.

Despite its reception, the movie was a success as it became the most-viewed non-English film on the platform, amassing a total of 8.7 million streaming hours.

The director's excitement was visible in the clips uploaded on social media and the actors who took photos looked regal in their different poses.
