Shunning President Muhammadu Buhari's latest message to Nigerians to exercise patience amid the cash crunch, residents of Sagamu in Ogun State have set properties ablaze in their continued protests.
The country has been in a state of unrest as citizens are forced to bear the brunt of the recent policy from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Videos uploaded on social media on Monday show protesters in Ogun venting their frustrations by destroying properties as passersby look on.
Just last Friday, demonstrators barricaded the Mowe area of Ogun State owing to the same naira scarcity issue.
As of the time of filing this report, it had not been ascertained if security operatives had staged an intervention or quelled the protests.
