VIDEOS: Two Dead As Yoruba Nation Agitators, Others Clash In

Residents of Ojota in Lagos were thrown into unrest in the early hours of Monday following the clash between Yoruba Nation agitators and members of another group.

Reports reveal that the Yoruba Nation group planned to hold a mega rally at Ojota over their demand for self-determination.

Videos and photos on social media show that a clash ensued, leaving two people dead in the wake of the unexpected violence.

A source revealed that two groups suspected to be the Oduduwa Peoples Congress (OPC) and Yoruba Nation agitators butted heads, resulting in at least two casualties.

The police reportedly arrived at the scene and teargas was shot into the air to disperse the crowd.

“Ojota is up in smoke, police are shooting teargas, and one person is dead. There was a clash between the OPC and Yoruba Nation", the anonymous source shared.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed that normalcy has been restored.

“I don’t have the details, once I have the details, I will let you know", he added.
