Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello has declared Thursday, June 30t and Friday, July 1, 2022, as public work free days.

According to Bello, this is to enable state civil servants and political appointees to participate in the voters registration exercise.

The governor directed that all Commissioners, Special Advisers and top government officials are directed to go to their various local governments with the view to sensitising and mobilising the general public to register and obtain their voters cards.

This he stated is to ensure residents obtain their cards before the closing date announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Bello however stated that the officials would render reports on the outcome of the exercise in their respective local government areas.
