WAEC: Examinations Committee To Decide On Withheld Results T

The 76th meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee to deliberate on cases of malpractice and irregularities in the  2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will take place today.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) disclosed this via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle.

Earlier on Monday, WAEC appointed Dr Amos Josiah Dangut to succeed Patrick Areghan as the Head of the Nigeria National Office.

Although the examination body released the 2023 WASSCE results in August, the results of 262,803 candidates were withheld due to cases of examination malpractice.

Assuring candidates, the body stated that information about their results would be communicated after concluding deliberations in the NEC meeting concludes its deliberations.

“The 76th Meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) to consider & decide on the malpractice/irregularity cases arising from the conduct of WASSCE for School Candidates, 2023 begins today. Stay tuned,” the post read.
