Wambai Of Lafia: Nasarawa Gets New Monarch

Former National Vice Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman is the new Wambai of Lafia in Nasarawa State.

Suleiman was conferred with the title, on Friday by the Emir, HRH Justice Muhammad Sidi Bage (rtd.) at the palace in Lafia. 

He is taking over the revered title from his father who died last month. 

The new Wambai Lafia had held various offices over the years notably the Executive Chairman and Secretary of Lafia Local Government Council. 

He is currently the Deputy Chief of Staff to APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

In attendance during the ceremony were friends and associates from all walks of life notably former Executive Secretary of the National Judicial Council (NJC), Danladi Halilu Envulu-Anza. 

Other dignitaries that also graced the occasion include former Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Tijani and standard-bearer of the governing party for Lafia North in the 2023 general elections, Hon. (Mrs.) Juliana Esla Dauda.
