Warawa Local Government In Kano Inaugurates Hunters To Maint

Warawa Local Gvernment Council in Kano has inaugurated more than one hundred members of the vigilante and hunter groups to assist security agents in maintaining peace in the council.

The Information officer of the local government, Salisu kassim yakasai in a statement said the chairman; Yusuf Abdullahi Danlasan stated this during the inauguration on Wednesday, adding that it is imperative to secure the lives and properties of the citizens at cost.

Danlasan restressed that ensuring security is a collective responsibility, thus the need for all to assist security agencies with useful information to further secure their lives.

He therefore urged the groups to always liaise with other security agencies in the discharge of their undertaking to achieve the set objectives of protecting lives and properties of people in the area.

The Chairman who said the local government has provided new Sharon bus to the vigilante group also promised support for smooth operation of the group

On his part, the District head of warawa Fagacin Gaya, Barrister Umar faruk who was representated by Nura Umar assured that the village and ward heads will provide all the necessary cooperation towards achieving the set goals.

In their separate remarks, the Division police officer in the area, Sanusi Alhaji Musa and vigilante group commander Malam Alasan Ado thanked the council for providing the vehicle and training security surveillance personnels, pledging to use the knowledge acquired knowledge and the vehicle accordingly.

The secretary of the local government, Alhaji Bello Shuaibu Giwaran, Speaker of the council Malam Umar Haruna, APC chairman of the area, Alhaji sabiu jinjiri Gogel, and other politicians were among the dignitaries that witnessed the occasion .
