Self-proclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy, during his performance at the BET award 2020, paid a tribute to victims of brutality by the operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
Burna Boy who has also been at the forefront of the #EndSars campaign performed his song "Monsters You Made", a track off his recently released album dubbed "Twice As Tall".
His powerful performance of "Monsters You Made" is a major highlight of the event, as the song addresses bad governance and corruption, one suitable for the current situation of Nigeria.
After the performance, the background performers who wore shirts that read "Stop Police Brutality," alongside the "ye" singer, raised their fists in solidarity.
Burna Boy said “This is for Tiamiyu Kazeem. This is for Kolade Johnson. This is for everyone that has lost their lives at the hands of SARS and all kinds of police brutality. End police brutality now and end profiling."
