We Are Committed To Curbing Crime In Ogun State — So-Safe

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps (SO-SAFE) have assured the people of the state of their unfailing commitment to curbing crimes and criminalities.

The assurance was given by the State Commander of the Corps, (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo at the official closing ceremony of a three-week training program for three batches of 800 Security officers held at the Corps Training Academy, Yewa South Local Government of the State. 

Ganzallo noted that for many years, training and retraining of officers and men at the academy have enhanced operational strategies in fighting crime within the state.

He added that the theme for the training:"Effective Intelligence Gathering: Bedrock for successful Security Operation" was to further equip officers and prepare them for the task ahead. 

"The Capacity building was organized to enhance and improve intelligence gathering of our officers and men in the course of discharging their duties.

"Capable hands were engaged as resource persons from  Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Headquarters Eleweran, Nigeria Drug Law and Enforcement Agency(NDLEA), Ogun State Command, Director from Ogun State Civil Service, Retired DSS officer and Retired Nigeria Police officer."

Appreciating the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for putting the Corps on the Ogun State year 2023 Budget line, he added that the gesture has spurred the officers and men of the Corps to do more.

Declaring the training close, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr Akinlesi Rotimiolu, represented by the Director of Local Government Affairs, Segun Ibirinde, assured the Corps of government's support to ensure a safe environment for the citizens and investors in the state.

He enjoined the participants to assert themselves with the training and also ensure that they share the knowledge acquired with those other officers within their various commands.
