Via Twitter, the singer condemned the never-ending bad news that keeps coming out of the country on a daily basis. According to the father of one, people are getting desensitized to the deplorable state of insecurity in the country.

He tagged the relationship Nigeria has with its citizens as 'an abusive relationship', adding that the state of the country is draining and depressing.
So much bad news in Nigeria every day... we've become numb to it. If it's not murder and kidnapping, it's unrest and people unfit for office calling the shots. It's like we are in an abusive relationship with the country we love. It's exhausting. It's draining. It's depressing.

Recall that during the #EndSARS protest against incessant brutality and extortion of the youths by the police in October 2020, Banky W listed what he termed the ‘six non-negotiables’ to the Nigerian government.
He held that officers caught extorting or assaulting citizens should be duly investigated and prosecuted. He also said that any police found guilty of brutalizing citizens should be made to pay out of their budget hefty damages to the families of the victim.
