We Are Not In Control Of Security Agencies - Osun PDP

The Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has slammed the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) for accusing it of having anything to do with security agents.

Osun PDP also warned that the fabrication of lies by the Osun APC is aimed at distracting the attention of members of the public from the real issues at hand.

The Osun APC had alleged that security agents with the backing of Osun PDP had raided the home of its member, Akin Adeyi.

It described the attack on Adeyi's house as wicked and primitive.

The PDP in a statement signed by its State Chairman, Sunday Bisi, said the APC was in a haste to dish out lies as usual and that it missed the fact that the PDP does not control security agencies as erroneously portrayed.

It called on the erstwhile ruling party in the state to be responsible enough to direct whatever concern it has on its members to the appropriate quarters.

Bisi stressed that the PDP is a truly democratic party and have no need whatsoever to go after any member of the APC in a manner falsely claimed, maintaining that the party is not in anyway responsible for how Police and other security agencies conduct their works.

"It is incontrovertible that the PDP, even though, in government in Osun state, does not control security agencies. Osun people, and indeed, the whole world, will therefore be taken aback by the irresponsible attitude of the Osun APC to falsely blame our party, the PDP.

"It is clear to the discerning that the Osun APC are desperate to mislead the public and shamefully attempt to draw attentions away from what could have necessitated the actions of the security agents.

"This again brings to the fore the dishonest trait of the Osun APC.

"Whoever has any issue with the security agencies should go and sought it out and stop dragging the PDP or Governor Adeleke into it.

"This latest blackmail attempt, as with all those before it, will fail because Osun people are smarter and will not be deceived to pressure security agencies from doing their jobs."
