The Kano State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr. Zahra’u Muhammad Umar says information making rounds on staff recruitment in the ministry on social media is fake news.
Dr. Zahra’u made the clarification during a press briefing on Wednesday evening.
She said the information is not from the ministry of Women Affairs, adding that it at no point in time directed any Diploma, NCE or even a degree holder to bring their certificate or curriculum vitae for recruitment, urging people already showing interest to disregard the information.
The Commissioner advised those making such posts to disengage henceforth, stressing that it is uncalled for and completely unreasonable.
She stressed that it is also an offense to instill fals hope in the graduates that are already trying to apply.
There have been reports, mostly circulated on social media, that Kano Ministry of Women Affairs is recuiting staff, urging graduates to quickly apply.
