Kano State Science and Technical Schools Board has it has no preferred candidate within its admission process, as against allegations that admissions slots are already sold out to preferred candidates prior to official admission.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi made this affirmation while paying an inspection visit to four examination centres at GSTC Jaoji, GTC Gwale, GSTC Dala, and New GSTC Mairo Tijjani during the just-concluded Senior Science Classes Entrance Examination.

Ahmad Tijjani explained that the board is maintaining an open-door policy in enrolling the students into the colleges under its domain where each candidate must be allowed to register, sit for the examination, and meet the cut-off marks issued by the board before gaining admission.

In a statement made available to newsmen over the weekend by the board's PRO, Ibrahim Ado Sabari the Introduction of E-admission by the board during Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi's tenure has undisputably checked out a lot of quack activities surrounding the admission process.

The Executive Secretary, therefore, called on all the parents and their wards to feel at ease as no qualified candidate can be exempted from the system.

He added that the total number of candidates registered for the examination this year was 11,712, which the board will consider those that score higher marks based on the cut-off marks that will be determined by the availabllity of classes in their colleges.
