We Need Best Hands To Feed Pupils - Osun Deputy Governor

We Need Best Hands To Feed Pupils - Osun Deputy Governor

The management of the Osun Home Grown School Feeding Programme, O'Meals has been charged to get the best hands to feed Osun pupils through the ongoing recruitment exercise of food vendors.

Osun State Deputy Governor, Kola Adewusi gave the charge while playing host to the management team of the program who paid him a courtesy visit in his office to discuss modalities for the recruitment exercise.

He enjoined the team led by the Programme Manager, Olufunke Adedigba to ensure that only qualified hands are recruited as food vendors for the aims of the scheme to be fully realized.

Adewusi said apart from being a cook, the issue of personal hygiene needs to be taken seriously as the state government would not want a situation where a disease outbreak would be recorded in any school.

The Deputy Governor said the present administration is determined to give the programme all the needed support because it is the belief of Governor Ademola Adeleke that good meals can enhance learning in children.

While stressing that the Adeleke administration is determined to return Osun State to it's pride of place in the education sector, the Deputy Governor commended the management team of the program for a good job done on the first stage of the recruitment process.

Earlier in a remark, the Programme Manager of the Osun Home Grown School Feeding Programme, Olufunke Adedigba assured the Deputy Governor and all residents of the State that only the best will be recruited as food vendors into the scheme.

Meanwhile, the second stage of the recruitment of O'Meals vendors will commence on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 as applicants have been asked to report at the office of the Local Inspector of Education(LIE) within their jurisdiction for a screening exercise.
