Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has promised that his administration will re-award the contract for the renovation of the Agbowo Shopping Complex.
Makinde gave the assurance to traders on Saturday while speaking on Political Circuit, a radio political talk show in Ibadan.
Makinde, who earlier apologised to the affected traders, admitted that the project failed but promised to revisit it under Omituntun 2.0.
The governor promised to re-award the contract to another contractor adding that the project will be tracked by the government.
"We will re-award Agbowo Shopping Complex to another contractor very soon, though I confirmed it is a failed project.
“The paper is ready and we will ensure the new contractor is prompt about the project while we track it,” he added.
