The Falconets have been paired with Canada, France and the Korea Republic in Group C at the 9th FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica.
Danjuma, who led the Falconets to the last World Cup believes the team can bank on the "Nigerian spirit" to do the Nation proud in Costa Rica.
“It will not be easy but we have what is known as the special ‘Nigeria spirit’ and we will go in there with confidence and belief in what we can do. We will play to our strengths – firm at the back and clinical at the fore.”
“Playing seven matches in the African qualifying series toughened the team very well, and we have also worked on their psyche. Nigeria has never been an also-ran at this level.
“Having reached the final twice and made the semi-finals once, the Falconets have pedigree in this championship. We cannot afford to falter. We will take it one match at a time, beginning with the game against France.
The Falconets had a dominant qualifying series scoring 25 goals and dispatching the likes of the Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Cameroon and Senegal to qualify for the competition.
Danjuma will be relying on the likes of captain Oluwatosin Demehin, Deborah Abiodun, Joy Jerry and the ever-reliable striker, Flourish Sebastine for goals.
The match against France is slated for 12 am Nigerian time on Thursday morning.
