Wear OS 2 Device Receives YouTube Music App

Google  says it will roll out the new YouTube Music app to selected wears OS 2 devices including the new Gen 6 smartwatches from Fossil and Michael Kors, and Mobvoi’s TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, TicWatch Pro 3 Cellular/LTE, and TicWatch E3 smartwatches so that you can enjoy music anywhere.

Starting this week, Wears OS 2 users will be able to download songs to their watch and listen to music offline or work out to their favorite songs without carrying a phone.

According to Google, YouTube Music Premium subscribers will have access to more than 80 million songs and thousands of playlists on your YouTube Music app. Users will be able to leave their phones at home and still listen to music while they work out or go for a walk. The app was previously released for Wear OS 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4.

The app includes the Smart Downloads feature, which updates the songs on your device when it connects to WiFi. Google says Premium subscribers can listen to more than 80 million songs and thousands of playlists from their wearable. The app, which is available through the Google Play Store, will hit more Wear OS 2 devices later this year.
